The teachers at Oakes College are dedicated to exploring innovative ways to make teaching current, fun and engaging. By sharing a genuine passion for their subjects, teachers provide a working environment that is thought-provoking and enjoyable whilst building positive and professional working relationships with students.
Our site boasts some beautiful outdoor spaces as well as a range of dedicated student areas including: study room, common room, café and courtyard, photography studio, radio station/media suite, sports facilities, gym and dance studio. During your time at Oakes College you will have plenty of opportunities to socialise with like-minded people and build lifelong friendships.
At Oakes College you will realise your academic potential and have the opportunity to develop your other interests. With a wide range of courses to meet your needs, interests and desires. Our courses are constantly developing and adapting to our student body. There will be a new Law and French course coming to Oakes next September.
One of the things that makes Oakes College special is our small class sizes, far lower than other centres in the area. This means that you get to know your teachers really well. Our students tell us this helps them to feel more supported and challenged to achieve their potential. We take pride in knowing each student as an individual and our ethos of “Inspiring, Individual, Inclusive” is reflected in everything we do.
