Oakes Visit To Westminster
On Tuesday, some Law, Politics and Criminology students from the Oakes College went to London to have a special tour around the Houses of Parliament. We were very fortunate as this included both the House of Commons and the House of Lords where we got to walk round and see where important debates take place. It was great to see these iconic areas of British politics in person. During this experience we were fortunate enough to access some areas that the public normally can’t, which made the time we spent there feel even more special.
We also visited the Supreme Court where we were able to explore all three floors and stand in the places where some of the most important cases in the UK and the Commonwealth have taken place. I am thankful for the school and teachers for organising the trip and making it a very enjoyable and smooth running day. It was a really memorable and positive day and I appreciate everyone who made it happen.
